Adult Ballet FAQ's
Do I have to wear a leotard, ballet shoes or tutu?!
Absolutely not, most wear fitness/gym gear and either no shoes or trainers is perfect.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
A water bottle would be great as you will burn up a sweat!
How hard is the class?
The class will have your muscles burning, temperature raised and your spirits raised too! You are likely to ache after the session which is a GOOD thing! The class uses ballet movements to help tone and strengthen both your core and legs.
How is the class beneficial to me?
You will strengthen your body for day to day activities, prevent injuries, and increase your fitness allowing you to feel better about yourself overall! The class is also a great way of switching off the mind and meeting new people.
Can I turn up and pay cash?
Unfortunately not, everyone needs to book on via this link. This is for track and trace, to ensure organisation of numbers attending, and to abide by our risk assessment where we are not currently handling cash. We can not book spaces for you as terms and conditions have to be read and ticked upon booking.
I have injuries/I am pregnant/I haven't done ballet before/I haven't exercised for a long time, will I be able to do the class?
As with all of our adult classes, the session can be taken at your own pace, the instructor can adapt choreography and give different difficulty levels to suit different participants throughout the class meaning the class provides an all-inclusive workout for everyone involved.
What about social distancing measures etc?
On arrival you will be asked to sanitise your hands. Masks must be worn on entering and leaving the class. Chairs used for the warmup are cleaned after use. Classes are capped so that social distancing/government guidelines are kept too.
